The Haro Bikes Corporation
Its seems not only beyond imagination but also fictitious when we think about Bob Haro, a man making number plates in his bedroom will someday lay the foundation of Bikes Corporation, which will be making top of the line BMX and freestyle Bikes. It was 1978 when Bob started making stylish number plates in his bedroom. At first he was working alone, but in 1980 when he found that the work to be done was lacking people, he laid the foundation of his first Company in California. While the company was rising in repute to new heights, Haro started paying attention to grow the sport of freestyle BMX. Soon he became the magazine and media icon when he decided to make trips around the country to perform demos of radical tricks that laid the foundation of freestyle riding and got the title of “The Father of Freestyle”. Photos were in almost every magazine as these tricks were all new and never been performed earlier. In these days, the BMX boom was at its extreme and Bob made a good reputation in developing new and innovative, top-of-the-line BMX and freestyle bikes and their accessories like helmets, handlebars, etc. Depend for bikes and accessories was raised when Haro BMX Bikes riders were winning almost every title in both BMX and freestyle riding. This way Bob turned his bedroom into a bike corporation of not only Custom BMX Bikes but also Mountain Bikes, Hybrid Bikes and the Cruiser Bikes and winning the title of “The Father of Freestyle”.
