EUR – Mussolini’s fascist suburb Visit the EUR, Mussolini’s fascist prestigious district that were meant to provide a framework for the international exhibition in 1942 Esposizione Universale di Rome. The exhibition never took place because of WWII, but the monumental square and sharply cut buildings are still there. Put particular attention to the square Colosseum, considered one of the masterpieces of the fascist architecture.

On Sundays it is closed. Via Condotti – Shopping in Rome Meet Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Gucci and many other highly esteemed fashion designers and their flagship stores. Via Condotti is not only one of Rome’s oldest streets, it is also Rome’s most famous and most expensive shopping street – and it’s also a great place if you just want to look at the beautiful, vain people who are out to buy new things for their wardrobe. Fortunately, there are plenty of shops with nice clothes in the side streets, which is affordable for everyone.
St. Peter’s Basilica – overlooking Rome The view of St. Peter’s Square and Rome’s take is staggering from the top of St Peter’s Basilica, and one is not too claustrophobic, it is all worth the 537 steps up the dome’s narrow spiral staircase. St. Peter’s Basilica is one of the world’s most famous and also most impressive buildings with Michelangelo as one of the chief architects. It took no less than 150 years to build the church.
