Why Can’t I Partition My Hard Drive and Problem With CDS
I was having a problem with my computer, so I called a friend that knows allot more than I do about computers. He told me I needed to partition my hard drive. Huh? I had no idea what he was talking about, but I followed his instructions, but it wouldnt work. I asked him why cant i partition my hard drive and he gave me allot of reasons that sounded greek or geek to me.I am always calling him my favorite geek because he knows so much about computers.He explained to me that partitioning a hard drive means that you can run two systems on it at the sametime. Unfortunately, that wouldnt work on my computer. Something was wrong with my computer because I was having a problem with cds running also. He decided to come over to see if he could do more to fix my computer than talking me through it. So, he arrived and worked on my computer till late in the evening, but still couldnt repair it. I asked him if he figured out why cant I partition my hard drive, but he didnt know. Guess it was time to take it to someone that could fix it and all I could think about was the cost. As I walked into the repair shop, they asked me what all was wrong and I told them as much as I could. I also told them I was having problems with CDs working. Come to find out it was a very easy fix. Course, the told me, but I didnt understand a word they said. Now I have my computer back and it is running perfectly. I use my computer allot to surf the internet and chat with family and friends, so I would of felt really lost if it would of taken too long to fix.
