A football Game
When I was a kid, I was always fascinated with the people who got to sit up in the booths during football games. I thought it was such a neat job, because they were paid to watch and commentate football. I did the exact same thing as them, but I was not paid. So, from the moment I learned that you could actually do that as a profession I was glued to the idea. Being a sports commentator seemed easy, you just had to know your facts. Yeah well you have to know a lot more than just the players names, and numbers, you have to know specific plays, what kind of offenses, and defenses they are. What coaches have coached who, what, where, and when, you also have to know who owns each team, how much they bought them for. You have to know who won which superbowl, how many times they have won it, and which teams have not earned their ring yet. It was a lot of work, and I needed to learn a lot of things I never even thought of, but when ESPN invited me to be their first female commentator for football I was all for it. No more studying in my pink snuggie, maybe an ESPN snuggie would be better, but I was now one of those people I had always dreamt of being. I was the one in the box, watching and paying close attention to who did what, and what calls were being made on plays, and I was getting paid for it too!
